John Morrison Rumored To Return During Survivor Series Weekend

WWE is going all out with this Survivor Series weekend, and the NXT Takeover: War Games on Saturday and Survivor Series on Sunday are bound to be one of the most exciting PPVs in recent times.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the excitement will increase even more with the return of former Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison. It was reported months ago that Morrison had signed a deal with the company, which was promptly refuted by the superstar himself.

“Since WWE has had John Morrison waiting to debut, I wonder if he’ll be the fourth man. That would be a nice surprise.”

However, ever since Morrison left IMPACT, he has yet to sign with any other major promotion and it seems like he is headed to WWE soon.

NXT head Triple H promised that a few surprises will be coming this weekend, and it seems like Morrison could indeed return at WarGames PPV.

The lineup for NXT Takeover: War Games III is set, however, Team Ciampa is still missing one member after Matt Riddle left the team last week. There was no announcement of the fourth man on this week’s episode, which could point towards a mystery debut at the PPV.

John Morrison last wrestled in WWE in 2011, and ever since his departure, he gained a lot of traction in the indies, wrestling under several different names. Morrison was also a Tag-Team Champion in WWE with The Miz, and was one of the hottest prospects in the company at that time.

These are still rumors and there is no concrete information on who could be the mystery fourth man at the PPV. With Riddle involved in a match, Velveteen Dream and Johnny Gargano out due to injuries, it will be interesting to see who the fourth man ends up being. If it’s Morrison, expect the Chicago crowd to go wild!
