Earlier this week, Kenny Omega revealed that he will be challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at the December 2nd edition of AEW Dynamite.
Recently, The Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer talked about Moxley and he said that there were some plans regarding Lance Archer facing the AEW Champion.
According to Meltzer, Archer was supposed to be Moxley’s next title defense and he’s not sure whether the match is postponed or the AEW management just forgot about it.
Archer is one of the powerhouse sorts of wrestlers currently signed in AEW and if he had feuded with Moxley, their rivalry would’ve proven to be of great theater.
This matchup was teased a couple of times on AEW TV but only time will tell if it’ll happen anytime soon.
Moxley is currently scheduled to face Omega next month. The AEW World Champion defeated The Cleaner at Full Gear pay-per-view last year in an Unsanctioned Match.
