Kairi Sane has been rumored to be on her way out of WWE for quite a few weeks now, and it seems like the date for her exit has been set. The former NXT Women’s Champion was present during this week’s tapings for RAW, and according to PWInsider, it will be the last day for the Pirate Princess in the company.
Sane will be leaving on good terms with the company and will continue to remain a part of the WWE extended family.
Reports of Sane returning to Japan in order to be with her husband surfaced a few weeks ago, with certain reports mentioning a possible retirement from professional wrestling altogether.
Sane signed a three-year deal with WWE in 2017, and after two years on NXT, she made her main roster debut after WrestleMania last year as part of the Kabuki Warriors.
Sane and Asuka, along with Paige as their manager, starred in the Tag Team Division and managed to grab the belts for quite some time.
Sane was reportedly set to feature in a final feud with a certain superstar, with that superstar getting a chance at Asuka’s RAW Women’s Championship at Summerslam. However, those plans never saw the light of the day after Sane was injured in a match against Nia Jax in June.
The inaugural Mae Young Classic winner had a decent run in the company, but her talents as a singles superstar couldn’t come to the fore on the main roster.
