Kairi Sane Injured at Raw Taping, Popular WWE Maneuver Banned

WWE has been recording its episodes of Monday Night Raw in advance over the past few weeks and the company continues to follow government guidelines when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company recently recorded next week’s episode of Raw which pitted Kairi Sane and Nia Jax up against each other once again.

Jax was able to defeat Sane a few weeks go to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match, but there were reports that suggested that Sane was injured in that match. This time around, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Sane was busted open on the steel steps while fighting Jax on the outside. Sane then received medical attention before being able to continue the match bandaged up. WWE will obviously edit this footage when the match is aired next week.

As already noted, this isn’t the first time that Jax and Sane have been talked about when it comes to injuries, Jax’s Turnbuckle Powerbomb almost injured the former Tag Team Champion. For what it’s worth, there have been rumors online that the move has now been banned by WWE once again.

The move was originally banned by the company back in 2015 when Seth Rollins performed it on Sting and the WWE Hall of Famer suffered a neck injury that ended his career. Rollins has since used the move again numerous times, but it’s now believed that after Jax’s botch a few weeks ago on Raw, the company has made the decision to ban the move once again.

Jax looked to deliver the move to The Japanese star during their Money in the Bank qualifier a few weeks ago and Sane fell to the bottom turnbuckle and looked to be in some pain. It’s unknown if this decision is linked to that botch.
