Kairi Sane reportedly suffered a concussion during the Women’s Tag Team Title defense at WWE TLC. This week on RAW, Sane appeared on the stage during Asuka‘s entrance but didn’t walk down the ramp to the ring for her partner’s singles match against Deonna Purrazzo.
PW Insider reports that WWE has pulled The Pirate Princess from the live events after Christmas. She may appear in another capacity, but not as an in-ring performer.
“This afternoon, the decision was made to pull Kairi Sane from the post-Christmas live events, at least as an in-ring performer.”
WWE filmed next week’s episode of RAW this Monday night in Iowa and Sane didn’t wrestle on the pre-Christmas show.
Meanwhile, Lars Sullivan recently posted a video of his workout at the gym. The Freak has been out of action since June and isn’t anywhere close to a return.
Fightful Select reports that Sullivan is expected to return in June 2020, meaning he won’t be appearing on WWE TV for one full year since being sidelined with a knee injury.
“Despite Lars Sullivan being seen training, he’s nowhere near a return, we’re told. Internally, he’s been listed as June 2020 as a “return” date. We’ve also heard that his recovery was going slower than originally expected, as of a few months ago.”
On the other hand, Nia Jax and Ruby Riott are gearing up for their respective in-ring returns early next year.
According to Fightful Select, both women are to return in January 2020.
“Nia Jax is back at the WWE Performance Center preparing and training for a return. WWE’s internal list has her as 1/2020. Ruby Riott internally was listed as the same date.”
Per rumors, Jax and Riott could be making their return during the Women’s Royal Rumble match as surprise entrants. There’s also a strong possibility of both Superstars directly showing up on RAW after Royal Rumble to mark their first WWE TV appearances since being ruled out of action.
