Lana Signs New Multi-Year Deal, Update On Rusev’s Contract Status

After being part of one of the most controversial WWE storylines in recent memory, Lana has reportedly signed a new five-year WWE contract today according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, even though the former Total Divas star was one of many current WWE wrestlers who was pushing for a release just a few short months ago.

Lana is currently being featured on WWE TV in a storyline that doesn’t require her to wrestle, but it has painted her in a bad light since she’s apparently cheating on her soon to be ex-husband Rusev with Bobby Lashley, whom she only met because Rusev cheated on her first.

This storyline was reportedly passed over to Lashley, Lana, and Rusev after Mike Kanellis requested his WWE release so his storyline with wife Maria was axed.

In recent weeks, Lana has accused her real-life husband of being a sex addict as well as lying to him about the fact that she was nine weeks pregnant. Last week she confirmed that she had filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order, which meant that Rusev wasn’t allowed in the building for Raw in Chicago last night.

That didn’t stop Rusev coming out and sending a message to Lashley ahead of their match at Starrcade which is now a Last Man Standing match.

While Lana has reportedly signed a new deal, it appears that her husband is still yet to agree with terms on a new deal with WWE since Ringsidenews is reporting that the former United States Champion is yet to sign on the dotted line.

Rusev has been made part of this storyline in recent weeks but it’s thought that The Bulgarian Brute isn’t exactly happy with the current feud he’s been acting out, which could be the main reason why it’s taking so long for him to decide whether or not to re-sign.
