It was reported that WWE’s Lars Sullivan has had to have knee surgery and is expected to be out for about 6 to 9 months. Now, it’s being said that Sullivan has apparently been working while injured for some time now.
According to a report on Wrestler Observer Radio, Sullivan had already been dealing with a minor injury when he appeared on the June 10 episode of Raw. During that episode of Raw, he went up against all three members of the Lucha House Party.
The Raw match with the Lucha House Party was a rematch from WWE Super ShowDown, which was a three-on-one handicap match that Sullivan lost after all three members of the Lucha House Party ganged up on him.
The RAW match was also supposed to be a handicap and this time, Sullivan was successful against all three members of the Lucha House Party. Despite emerging victorious, however, Sullivan was said to have aggravated his minor injury.
The match between Sullivan and the Lucha House Party on Raw was actually the last time that Sullivan has been on WWE TV. He was supposed to have a match with Matt Hardy on SmackDown after Raw but, because of his injury, the match did not push through.
Sullivan had his knee surgery last Thursday and, while it went well, he’s not expected to be well enough to compete till at least December. He could be back in time for WrestleMania 36.
Sullivan’s injury is just the latest in a series of setbacks that he has faced since being called to the main roster from NXT.
He was supposed to debut in January this year but he suffered and anxiety attack that delayed his debut till April. He was also fined $100,000 after it was found that he had posted some controversial and offensive messages in social media.
