Latest Injury Report on Cody Rhodes, Will He Miss Action?

During the recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes reportedly suffered a slight tear in his left rotator cuff.

The injury occurred as Rhodes teamed with Nightmare family member Lee Johnson in a winning effort against Peter Avalon and Cezar Bononi.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the injury is legit and also not the only one Rhodes suffered during the match.

Rhodes was hit by a pump handle slam from Bononi which saw him land hard on his left shoulder. Rhodes was seen to visibly wince in pain and it was the other wrestlers who handled most of the action afterwards.

Aside from the tear on his rotator cuff, according to Meltzer, there was also damage to Rhodes’ left trapezoid.

The match was taped a week ago and the current plan is for Rhodes to rehab his shoulder with Bryce Remsberg and Doc Sampson during the TV tapings scheduled for this coming Wednesday and Thursday.

It’s hoped that this will enable him to heal in time to work his next big match, where he teams up with Red Velvet to take on Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill during the March 3rd episode of AEW Dynamite.
