Luke Harper and Matt Hardy Set To Leave WWE Soon?

Ever since All Elite Wrestling joined the professional wrestling industry, there has not been a shortage of rumors surrounding the under-used talents in WWE. Every now and then, a particular superstar is rumored to be leaving WWE, with the most likely destination being AEW.

Two latest entrants in the rumor circle are Luke Harper and Matt Hardy. Hardy returned from a hiatus last week on RAW, and immediately set the world talking with his mashup of gimmicks.

Hardy was dressed as his early 2000s self, while he continued to do the Delete! chant, indicating Broken Matt. However, Hardy’s wife wasn’t too thrilled with her husband’s arrival on RAW and typed out a tweet criticizing WWE’s underutilization of the future Hall of Famer.

Reby Hardy is currently pregnant with her and Matt’s third child and sent out a tweet last week while she was going through some serious pain. After Hardy returned to WWE programming, Mrs. Hardy once again said in a tweet that WWE only brought back Matt to free him from parental duties.

It was rumored that Matt is shooting Broken Matt footage once again, which could be an indication of a possible exit for the superstar. Matt is contracted with WWE until WrestleMania next year and could head back to Impact or AEW after his stint with WWE comes to an end.

Another superstar who seems to be on the verge of leaving is Luke Harper, who has trademarked his former indie name, Brodie Lee, according to a report by PWInsider.

Luke Harper’s contract with WWE was supposed to end in 2019, but WWE controversially added more time to his contract due to the time spent by Harper on the sidelines with injury.

Harper will most likely follow Hardy out of WWE during WrestleMania season next year, and will surely be one of the major players if he decides to join AEW.
