Impact Wrestling has reportedly filmed multiple finishes for matches that are set to be aired during their upcoming TV shows.
Impact Wrestling is holding television tapings in Nashville, Tennessee. They have been doing so since almost the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Much like WWE and AEW, switching to taped shows in controlled small venues would be safer for all those involved.
Fightful Select is reporting that Impact’s latest round of television tapings included the filming of different finishes for several matches. The reason given was “turnover in the company among prominent stars.”
This new report builds on a previous report Fightful Select released a week ago where Impact was reportedly not going to feature talent who had not re-signed with the company unless they agree to new terms.
Given this, it’s likely the multiple finishes involve unsigned talent. If the talent re-signs, then the finish with them will be aired. If not, then one of the other taped finishes, probably featuring a signed talent will be used.
Aside from multiple finishes, the company also reportedly filmed segments using “alternative wrestlers or personnel” in order to not show talent “celebrating with people who are no longer involved in the company.”
