Mustafa Ali hasn’t wrestled on SmackDown since December, but it was widely speculated that the former 205 Live star was the man behind the hood known as the SmackDown hacker.
AJ Styles was drafted over to SmackDown last month and it was reported that the returning “superstars to be named later.” So far, Raw has made no announcement when it comes to the returning stars, but Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that Mustafa Ali has internally been drafted over to the Monday night show.
The hacker persona hasn’t been seen on WWE TV for a number of weeks, but it’s worth noting that his last appearance included a number of Raw stars, which could have hinted at a move.
WWE could have also dropped the persona all together since the Hacker hasn’t been seen on TV since the beginning of May.
Ali was once one of the hottest prospects on SmackDown but he hasn’t been used on-screen in a number of months, so this move was perhaps the best thing for him and his future.
Ali isn’t a huge name like Styles, but he could make quite the splash on Monday Night Raw, alongside the likes of Cedric Alexander and Ricochet.
