Natalya and Tyson Kidd Sent Home Before WWE Tapings as COVID-19 Precaution

Real-life WWE couple TJ Wilson and Natalya were sent home before the recent rounds of TV tapings as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wilson, who wrestled as Tyson Kidd but is now a producer, was sent home on June 25 with a fever.

His wife Natalya, who was not showing any symptoms, was sent home with him.

The couple were then tested for the virus and, according to Meltzer, they both tested negative. They were still asked to stay home from the tapings for this week as a precautionary measure.

WWE has begun testing people before the tapings and these tests have uncovered several positive cases.

Most notably, Renee Young and backstage interviewer Kayla Braxton, as well as two of Wilson’s fellow producers Pat Buck and Jamie Noble tested positive this week. An extra, Tyreke, and an unnamed developmental talent have also been reported positive for COVID-19.

Wilson retired from in-ring competition after a spinal cord injury suffered against Samoa Joe on a non-televised match on NXT back in 2015. He has been working as a producer since then. Natalya is an active member of the Raw roster and recently turned heel, allying herself with Lana.
