Paul Heyman was announced as the new Executive Director of RAW several weeks ago, and his influence on the show has been seen in bits-and-pieces. The former ECW owner has apparently picked out his guys for the future, and seems like Cedric Alexander has joined the list.

It was earlier reported that Paul Heyman is behind Ricochet and Sasha Banks‘ recent activities, and he is looking to make them the ‘Paul Heyman Guys’.

Heyman seems to have recently added one more superstar to the club, and according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman is looking to slowly push Cedric Alexander as a big star on the red brand.

“A.J. Styles defends the U.S. title against Cedric Alexander with Alexander being one of the wrestlers Paul Heyman wants to give a slow push to the top rung.”

Cedric Alexander spent a lot of time in the lower-card of the roster, fighting it out with the likes of EC3 and Eric Young among others for the 24/7 title. His talents didn’t go unnoticed though, as he was revealed as Roman Reigns’ mystery partner in a match against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.

Post this, Alexander was embroiled in a rivalry with McIntyre, in which he overcame the Scottish Psychopath. He also took part in the KOTR tournament, where he lost to Baron Corbin after being attacked by AJ Styles prior to the contest.

WWE is clearly looking to make the former Cruiserweight Champion a major deal in the company, and it could be the perfect way to go. Triple H was bombarded with chants at Full Sail University, requesting him to sign Alexander after his performance in the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016.

He eventually got a contract with the company, and made a full-time switch to main roster earlier this year. Hopefully, WWE continues to push Alexander and a US title run could be imminent.
