This weekend, The Undertaker competes as part of his first-ever Extreme Rules pay-per-view where he will be teaming up with Roman Reigns, to take on the team of Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.
The Undertaker hasn’t wrestled since his match against Goldberg back in June as part of Super ShowDown, but it’s wise that the former World Champion wants to move on from what was a dream match gone wrong.
The Deadman last appeared as part of Raw before he aided Roman Reigns as part of a segment with Elias on the Raw After WrestleMania back in April and it’s thought that the company is now hoping to extend this feud at this weekend’s Extreme Rules event.
According to a report from Cagesideseats, a segment between Elias and The Undertaker is expected this weekend which could lead to a showdown between the two men in the future, despite rumors that The Undertaker could face Baron Corbin at SummerSlam.
Undertaker’s match on Sunday night is No Holds Barred which means that there is no disqualification and Shane McMahon can bring in as much help as he needs. Elias is an obvious choice since he and The Deadman have history, but The Revival are also an option.
Given the fact that Kevin Owens recently made his feelings about Shane McMahon perfectly clear, he’s someone who could even the odds for Roman Reigns’ team in Philadelphia and with the addition of Elias, it would make their a six-man feud moving forward.
Since SummerSlam plans are all up in the air, it will be interesting to see if Shane McMahon is part of The Biggest Party of the Summer so that he can finally end his issues with Owens once and for all, or if WWE does try to phase him off WWE TV and allow the underutilized talents to take his place.
