Randy Orton has been unstoppable since signing his latest 5-year multi-million dollar deal with WWE.
The Viper has made shockwaves with his brutal storylines and although his WrestleMania 36 loss was nothing short of humiliating, Orton quickly silenced his critics by defeating Edge at Backlash.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has plans of pitting Orton against Drew McIntyre in a world title match at SummerSlam.
Since winning the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar at The Showcase Of Immortals, the Sexy Scotsman has defended the gold against The Big Show, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and perhaps, it’s now time for the fearless McIntyre to put the championship on the line against the legendary 13-time-World Champion.
It was further reported that if not SummerSlam, McIntyre vs Orton could take place at another major pay-per-view this year or most probably at WrestleMania 37.
The latest rumors suggest that Lesnar could be returning for a title rematch against McIntyre at The Biggest Party Of Summer. If that’s indeed the case, then Orton needs to wait a bit more in order to collide with the Scottish Psychopath.
From the looks of it, Orton seems to be getting back his iconic Legend Killer gimmick and his much-awaited 14th world title victory could be on the horizon.
