WWE keeps updating their roster on their official website, which is the only way for fans to be updated about the current superstars in WWE. According to Sean Sapp of Fightful.com, WWE has added Bobby Lashley to the ‘inactive’ list.
Usually superstars who are out of action with injury or have taken a leave are added to such lists, but Lashley’s inclusion in the list is a bit surprising.
Lashley last featured in a feud with Braun Strowman, and wrestled twice against him on RAW and at Extreme Rules. Their Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules ended with Braun Strowman emerging victorious, and Strowman eliminated Lashley in the Battle Royal to decide the No.1 contender for Lesnar’s Universal Championship the next night on RAW.
WWE putting Lashley on the inactive list has to be for an undisclosed injury. Lashley has never got going in his second run with WWE, and at age of 43, he is not getting any younger.
Bobby Lashley had a solid pairing with Lio Rush in the first half of 2019 until Lio Rush was taken off WWE programming for his comments on social media. Lio and Bobby are both inactive from WWE television, and it is unknown when they’ll make a return.
Lashley’s character has failed to get going and found some momentum during Lio Rush’s partnership with Bobby. However, Lio Rush’s falling out with the creative led to Lashley going solo once again.
Time is ticking out for Bobby Lashley in WWE. WWE doesn’t look at him as a potential champion, which is quite saddening for a wrestling fan, and it’s hard to say whether there are greener pastures for him anywhere else. He is one of the few guys to pin Roman Reigns clean in singles action, but sadly it did not amount to anything in the end.
Whether Bobby Lashley is injured or has taken some time off remains to be seen.
