Last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw saw Stephanie McMahon host the conclusion of the 2019 WWE Draft where Universal Champion Seth Rollins was drafted over to Raw as the number one draft pick on the show.
On Friday Night SmackDown a few days before, Bray Wyatt was one of the biggest shocks of the draft when he was moved over to SmackDown as part of the first round. It was thought that the fact that Wyatt was drafted over to Friday nights would mean the end of the feud between himself and Seth Rollins surrounding the Universal Championship, but this is not the case.
Rollins will face Bray Wyatt next week at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia where the Universal Championship will be on the line once again in a Falls Count Anywhere Match where the referee is not allowed to stop the match for any reason.
Last week on Raw, WWE was able to continue the feud between the two stars when Rollins infiltrated the Firefly Fun House and seemingly burnt it to the ground. Many of the WWE Universe was stunned by Rollins’ actions but it appears that there is an interesting reason as to why Bray Wyatt’s Fun House had to be destroyed.
According to Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue on the recent episode of Dropkick DiSKussions, it has more to do with FOX being able to market The Fiend than Bray Wyatt’s character himself.
“To my knowledge, from what I’m being told as the days go on, FOX really aren’t sure what they can do with Bray Wyatt. How do you market Bray Wyatt to a sports audience? Is “The Fiend” going to come to a ball game? Is he going to sit during baseball? Do you see The Fiend turning up on one of the kiss cams? Do you see him joining a panel show?”
It will be interesting to see Wyatt’s response to Rollins’ shock actions as part of tonight’s episode of Raw.
