Former WWE superstar EC3 was released by WWE a few months ago. Reportedly, he was upset with WWE and Vince McMahon for burying his character.
When EC3 became a free-agent, he worked for independent promotions for a while before returning to Impact Wrestling where he had a World Championship reign during his initial run.
Recently, the subject of EC3 was brought up on the Wrestling Observer Radio and Dave Meltzer revealed why the wrestler never became a huge star in WWE.
“Here’s what happened. So, they put him[EC3] over Dean Ambrose and he was supposed to be a babyface and it didn’t work in week one and then they pretty quickly… Vince just gave up on him. That’s what Vince does.”
Fans also believe that EC3 could’ve had a great run in Vince McMahon’s company. He had potential, and as Meltzer observed, a great body and decent mic skills too.
EC3 is a free agent right now and could end up signing with WWE’s rival, All Elite Wrestling.
