The 2019 WWE Draft concluded in grand fashion on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW as reigning WWE Champion Brock Lesnar made his big move to SmackDown on FOX.

For years, Lesnar has been the face of RAW as the WWE Universe kept wondering whether The Blue Show will be lucky enough to have The Beast onboard. And the long stereotypical relationship between Brock and RAW finally ended last night as WWE drafted him to SmackDown.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that FOX could be using Lesnar as a standby option until Ronda Rousey returns to WWE.

“I think that it was an executive decision at FOX that they had to get Brock Lesnar because they’re not getting Ronda Rousey, at least for a while.”

FOX had demanded The Rowdy One on SmackDown ever since striking the television deal with WWE but little did anyone know that the former RAW Women’s Champion would be taking an indefinite “impregnation vacation” post-WrestleMania 35.

SmackDown currently houses Lesnar’s two main rivals, namely, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. All three men share a deeply personal rivalry and WWE might as well book them in a highly combustible, blockbuster Triple Threat title showdown in the coming days. Add “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan to the mix and there you have a box-office shattering, once in a lifetime booking!

The Beast’s grand move to The Blue Show has fueled speculations over the immediate future of his Advocate. Given Paul Heyman is the Executive Director of RAW on USA Network, it would be interesting to see whether or not FOX will allow him to accompany his client on Friday nights from hereon.

At this point, there’s no guarantee that 3-time Universal Champion Lesnar will be sent over to RAW even if FOX is able to land Rousey upon her return.
