Renee Young has been a consistent face on WWE TV since 2012. Even though the Canadian star isn’t an in-ring performer, she has held down a number of job roles and even made history back in 2018 when she became the first-ever full-time female commentator on Monday Night RAW.
Young made headlines a few weeks ago when she was the first WWE star to reveal that she had contracted COVID-19 while working for the company and her husband Jon Moxley was then forced to self isolate as a result.
Young has made more headlines today since PWInsider is reporting that Young has already handed in her notice with WWE a week ago and it’s unknown if she will be featured on WWE TV again.
Young’s most recent role was as the host on WWE Backstage, but since this show was scrapped by FOX a few weeks ago, she has been waiting for the company to find a new position for her.
There are a number of options at Young’s fingertips following her WWE departure since she recently revealed that she’s releasing her own cookbook and AEW’s broadcast team could definitely use someone with Young’s experience. At present, there is no news on Young’s next steps.
