Rhea Ripley Reportedly Set for Main Roster Call-up Following NXT New Year’s Evil Loss

Rhea Ripley came up short in her clash with Raquel Gonzalez at last night’s New Year’s Evil event, which was reportedly The Nightmare’s final appearance on NXT.

The two women have been part of a deeply personal feud over the past few weeks, and their Last Woman Standing match last night was the perfect end to their feud, and it was also a fantastic way to make Gonzalez the new monster in NXT.

According to a report by PWInsider, this was Rhea Ripley’s final appearance on the black and gold brand, and she will now be promoted to the main roster.

Ripley appeared on the main roster ahead of WrestleMania 36 last year where she defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair.

Ripley has since returned to NXT and put over Gonzalez so that she can now head to the main roster and continue where she left off.

Ripley could be one of the stars added to the Women’s Royal Rumble match in just two weeks’ time since WWE likes to involve several NXT stars in the match.

Ripley was one of the favorites to win last year’s match, but she failed to be added to the competition, and instead, Charlotte Flair found a way to overcome the odds and walk out victorious.

At present, there is no update on what brand Ripley is set to be added to, but The Nightmare could be saved for the Royal Rumble match, where she could pick up a lasting feud.
