Roman Reigns In Line For Huge WrestleMania Push, Cain Velasquez “Working Out” At Performance Center

Roman Reigns In Line For Huge WrestleMania Push

Roman Reigns returned from leukemia this past February and went on to battle Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35. Since then, his babyface push has stalled despite being involved in intense feuds and leading from the front.

WrestlingNews reports that The Big Dog is set for a major WrestleMania push. It’s been a long while since Reigns was last shoved in the spotlight and the idea backstage is that fans are likely to forget how hard he was pushed previously.

“The feeling on Reigns is that he’s gone long enough without being shoved in the fan’s face and that he is no longer seeing the fan backlash that Seth Rollins is getting right now or the backlash that John Cena was getting for most of his babyface run.”

Prior to his medical hiatus in October 2018, WWE pushed Reigns so much so that fans developed a bitter taste for him. The Big Dog was booed at every live event, weekly show, pay-per-view, and fans refused to accept him as the face of the company. However, that’s no longer the case and WWE might as well resume Reigns’ push this WrestleMania season.

Cain Velasquez “Working Out” At WWE Performance Center

Cain Velasquez suffered a horrific defeat at the hands of Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel last month. The babyface athlete failed to dethrone The Beast in his WWE debut match, despite taming him in UFC almost a decade ago.

Velasquez has been dealing with a knee injury that requires surgery. This was the reason behind his quick loss to Lesnar in Saudi Arabia.

PWInsider reports that the 2-time former UFC Heavyweight Champion has been “working out” at the WWE Performance Center recently.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez was at the WWE Performance Center this week, working out, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Per rumors, Cain could provide some backup for Rey Mysterio when the latter collides with Lesnar this Sunday at Survivor Series.
