Seth Rollins defends his Universal Championship against Baron Corbin tomorrow afternoon as part of WWE Super ShowDown, but following the events that unfolded on Monday Night Raw, there were rumors that Rollins may have been written out of the show.

Rollins awaited Brock Lesnar this week since Paul Heyman had already confirmed that Mr. Money in the Bank would cash in his contract against Rollins on Raw. This obviously didn’t happen and instead, Lesnar beat The Universal Champion with a steel chair to the point where he had to be stretchered out of the arena.

This could be a way of ensuring that Rollins won’t be part of the show, or it could be a way for the Champion to battle the odds tomorrow night even though he’s not one hundred percent.

While Rollins’ medical status is currently unknown, according to PWInsider, Seth Rollins is expected to be part of the show and Lesnar is still expected to be there with his contract in hand since once again he’s teased that he will be cashing in as part of WWE’s trip to Saudi Arabia.

As already stated, the actual reason for the beatdown and the fact that Brock Lesnar failed to cash in his contract even though he already had the victory in hand are still unknown. The site stated that “The Brock Lesnar beatdown angle was not a way to write Seth Rollins off Super ShowDown and that the current Universal Champion will indeed be part of the show.

The other option is that Brock Lesnar opted not to cash in on Seth Rollins because he was instead looking to cash in on Kofi Kingston, who will be in Saudi Arabia tomorrow evening.

With SmackDown’s move to Fox coming up in the near future and the rumors still circulating regarding Lesnar’s status for the Tuesday night show, it’s beginning to make sense if the company is hoping to move The Beast over to The Blue Brand as the WWE Champion.
