PWInsider is reporting that lawyers for MLW have engaged with WWE’s own attorneys over the issue this past week. They reportedly have plenty of evidence that points to WWE engaging in contract tampering, however, they are hoping to settle matters out of court.

According to, WWE is downplaying MLW’s tampering claims. While current MLW contracts prohibit their wrestlers from entering talks with the WWE, it wouldn’t be surprising if MLW talents use intermediaries to contact WWE as this is a common practice in the professional wrestling world.

It is currently unclear if WWE is indeed in direct talks with MLW talents or if intermediaries were used.
