WWE Superstar Sasha Banks has been absent from WWE TV since she and Bayley lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 35. Now, a local ad for the SummerSlam pay-per-view in Toronto is fueling speculation that we will see her on WWE TV again.
According to WrestlingNews.co, Banks is clearly seen featured in ads in Toronto for SummerSlam.
Banks herself has been quiet and cryptic about her return and is apparently currently spending some time in Japan.
A number of Japanese wrestlers have tweeted out photos and shared stories of hanging out with Banks in Tokyo.
According to Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling star Reika Saiki, she worked out with and had some sushi with Banks.
Pro Wrestling Noah star Naomichi Marufiji also had dinner with Banks, and Mina Shirakawa is also supposed to have met up for a meal with her.
A Banks return isn’t the only possible SummerSlam spoiler being revealed by Toronto-based advertising for the show. It is being reported that the local advertisements are featuring The Undertaker.
Taker recently returned to WWE television to help Roman Reigns against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. Taker and Reigns are set to wrestle against McMahon and McIntyre at Extreme Rules.
The Toronto ads for the Undertaker’s SummerSlam appearance are stating he will be in a singles match with McIntrye.
The rumors were also picked up by Dave Meltzer at Wrestling Observer Radio but, according to him, just because there is advertising for Undertaker Vs. McIntyre doesn’t mean it will happen in Toronto.
“The one thing is the fact that they’re advertising a match also means that Undertaker’s gonna be at Summerslam which makes sense because if he’s going to do Extreme Rules he should do Summerslam and it would make sense between Undertaker and Drew McIntyre, but I was told not to read anything into it,” said Meltzer.
