Last night’s episode of WWE Raw was forced to go through several last-minute changes after it was made public that Drew McIntyre had tested positive for COVID-19.
The WWE Champion was interestingly not the only star missing from last night’s episode of Raw, since the likes of Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, Raw Tag Team Champions Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin and even Ricochet were all notable absentees.
Current 24/7 Champion R-Truth was also missing from Raw but made an appearance on Raw Talk later in the night.
These absences meant that the likes of Keith Lee Sheamus, Riddle, and Jeff Hardy were all forced to work double duty on Raw, with many fans concerned that McIntyre may not be the only star struggling with the virus.
PWInsider has since confirmed that all of the above stars were backstage on Raw but the company decided not to use them.
Several other stars including Humberto Carrillo, Angel Garza, and Akira Tozawa were all used on Main Event but didn’t feature on Raw.
It has since been reported by The Wrestling Observer that there are at least four WWE stars who have tested positive for COVID including Drew McIntyre. These stars still remain unnamed.
