Shawn Michaels Reportedly Has More Sway Backstage Than Triple H

There has been speculation over the past decade that centers around the illusion that Triple H is married to Stephanie McMahon, which means that Vince McMahon favors his ideas more than any other person who works for the company.

Even though Triple H has been able to make NXT a success, despite Vince McMahon taking some of his top talents and ruining them on the main roster, it appears that The Game has done this on his own without much help from The Chairman.

Triple H isn’t the only man making progress with one of WWE’s brands since Shawn Michaels also seems to be doing a fantastic job with NXT UK and still has a close personal relationship with Vince McMahon.

Bruce Prichard was able to open up about the dynamics backstage on his Something to Wrestle podcast recently where he made it clear that Shawn Michaels actually had more sway backstage than Triple H. Prichard claimed that because Triple H, Stephanie, and Shane McMahon are all his family, McMahon is more likely to veto their ideas.

“Hunter going in making the argument, that’s not going to work because ‘nope, you’re in the family and you don’t get a vote.’ Me going in he was like ‘God dan Bruce! you should know better’. But Shawn going in and making the argument… well, it’s Shawn. So Shawn had a little more sway and a little more leeway with The Boss,” he said via Sportskeeda.

Prichard also went on to state that he and Triple H were aware of Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon’s special relationship, which is why they often asked The Heartbreak Kid to pitch ideas, and they knew that if McMahon said no to an idea pitched by Michaels then no one would be able to convince him otherwise.
