Sheamus’ In-Ring Return Date, Becky Lynch’s Royal Rumble Plans

The build-up to Royal Rumble is the most exciting time to be a WWE fan since it’s a time for shocks and surprise returns. While many returns usually happen as part of the Royal Rumble match, one man who could return before WWE’s annual 30-man battle royal is former World Champion Sheamus.

Sheamus hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since April when he reportedly suffered a concussion but vignettes have been playing that show Sheamus ready to return to the ring and a report by WrestlingInc confirms that he is expected to make his return within the next month. Sheamus has also struggled with the same back injury that sidelined both Edge and Paige, so it appears that WWE has become much more cautious with the Irish star given the fact that his career could be cut short by one bad bump.

Recent photos of Sheamus also confirm that he’s returned to his familiar look from before the mohawk phase and is looking quite jacked, which means that he has definitely been putting the time in to get back into shape ahead of his return.

Becky Lynch has absolutely dominated WWE’s Women’s Division over the past year and it has already been revealed that the RAW Women’s Champion will defend her Championship in a few week’s time at Royal Rumble.

This time last year, Becky Lynch pulled double duty as she once again faced Asuka and tapped ahead of her Royal Rumble victory that took her into the first-ever Women’s WrestleMania main event, but according to Cagesideseats, this isn’t the plan for Lynch this year.

The report states that despite pulling double duty as part of last year’s show, Lynch isn’t expected to compete as part of the women’s Rumble match this year, since the winner would be facing her if she’s able to successfully defend her title against Asuka.
