Snoop Dogg to Do Commentary on AEW Dynamite

Snoop Dogg will be doing commentary on the January 6th episode of AEW Dynamite.

It was announced earlier this week that AEW will have the legendary rapper as the special guest for the AEW Dynamite on TNT’s first episode for the year 2021.

While there has been no official word on what Snoop will be doing on AEW Dynamite, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that he will be joining the commentary team.

Meltzer was responding to a question from a fan on Twitter who was asking if Snoop would be “doing commentary” or just an appearance.

The question stemmed from the fact that Snoop had been a commentator for the recent Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. fight. Snoop’s performance in the role was considered praiseworthy.

Meltzer has a one-word answer for the fan, simply stating that Snoop would be doing commentary.

Snoop Dogg won’t be the first celebrity to show up on an AEW. Mike Tyson had a couple of appearances earlier this year, which was allegedly supposed to end in a program with Chris Jericho.

Meanwhile, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal appeared in a segment with Brandi Rhodes on the latest episode of AEW.

O’Neil is on the show as a “friend” of Jade Cargill, and it looks like he might continue to be a presence in a brewing program between Cargill and Brandi Rhodes.
