WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view on the Road To WrestleMania, Super ShowDown takes place on February 27 at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
WWE’s last trip to The Middle East for the Crown Jewel PPV ended in a huge controversy. Vince McMahon and his staff flew out right after the show while The Kingdom detained the Superstars for an additional 24 hours due to internal disputes with the billion-dollar promotion.
On PWInsider Elite audio, Mike Johnson reported that there has been an “unofficial edict” in WWE to ensure everyone leaves Saudi Arabia together this time around.
“I have been told that basically in the company there was an unofficial edict that stated like ‘We’re all going together, we’re all staying together, nobody is leaving early if there’s an issue, everybody is staying together.’ If you’re not a wrestler and you’re part of the support staff you’re not leaving until the wrestlers leave because there was some anger on the wrestlers’ end that some people who worked for the company left before the wrestlers did and the wrestlers got stuck.”
“I’ll be shocked if Vince isn’t gone halfway through the show.”
Meanwhile, The Undertaker is sitting Super ShowDown out to begin his reported feud for WrestleMania 36. The Phenom has been rumored to face AJ Styles at the Show Of Shows on April 5th and The Phenomenal One’s promo on Monday Night RAW subtly hinted that the build has already begun.
Fightful Select reports that The Undertaker was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando “at least as of last week.” It’s very likely that the multi-time World Champion is preparing himself for his marquee match in Tampa, Florida.
“At least as of last week, The Undertaker was at the WWE Performance Center. Mark Henry was also there, which isn’t a surprise considering he contributed to the Lee vs. Dijakovic vignette that aired.”
