The Revival may be one of the best tag-teams in the world currently, but they are always in the news for the wrong reasons. The yearly saga of Revival’s contract status has once again come under scanner, and the former Tag-Team Champions are apparently on their way out from WWE.
Scott Dawson posted a tweet yesterday, which stated he was going away for a while, which indicated a hiatus for the duo. However, Dawson clarified earlier today he was only taking a break from social media and not professional wrestling.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder‘s contracts are apparently nearing their end, and the duo have reportedly refused to sign extensions despite massive offers from WWE.
According to PWInsider, the duo have filed trademarks for ‘Shatter Machine’ which is the name of their current finisher in the company. The trademarks could be an indication of a new name on the independent circuit for the team, and the trademark is filed for wrestling and merchandising purposes.
There is still no clarity on The Revival’s future in the company, and what their possible future destination could be. Revival is currently booked horribly on the blue brand, and haven’t had a proper feud in quite some time.
The Revival has shown intentions of working with the Young Bucks in the past, and hence, a possible switch over to All Elite Wrestling could be possible for them. AEW has a plethora of quality teams in their division including Young Bucks, Lucha Bros, SCU, etc. and any one of them against Revival is a recipe for an instant classic.
It remains to be seen where Wilder and Dawson shatter the machines next.
