WWE’s first pay-per-view of 2020, Royal Rumble is just over a week away and The Undertaker could be eyeing an in-ring at the grand stage already.
PWInsider reports that The Phenom was at the Performance Center earlier today. While the WWE legend was actually mentoring NXT Superstars, we wonder whether he was simultaneously training for his return at the Rumble.
“The Undertaker is at the WWE Performance Center today in Orlando, Florida.”
“Obviously, with the Royal Rumble next week, that timing is very interesting.”
“Thus far today, Undertaker not been inside the ring. He has been reviewing last night’s WWE NXT TV episode with the roster, giving advice and feedback to the roster.”
After a horrendous performance against Goldberg at Super ShowDown, The Phenom competed in tag team action at Extreme Rules (2019) and managed to retrieve the respect of the WWE Universe. Since WWE didn’t book ‘Taker for WrestleMania 35, fans are now wondering whether he is set to miss the Showcase Of Immortals this year as well.
According to Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue, the 7-time World Champion is booked for the upcoming Saudi Arabian event in February and it’s unlikely for him to compete just 5 weeks later at WrestleMania 36.
“If any of the news coming out of WWE at the moment is to be believed, The Undertaker will be appearing in Saudi Arabia next… and then after that probably appearing in Saudi Arabia.”
“He has a very stringent and long term system, for exercising and working out into a peak condition for his matches. He’s obviously not the youngest of men… but if he wants to deliver to the standard that he believes he is capable of… he needs to train in a certain way. If he’s going to be in Saudi Arabia, he simply cannot be at WrestleMania afterwards based on that regimen.”
