The Usos To Reportedly Return Ahead Of WWE Royal Rumble 2020

The Usos haven’t been around since the end of July following Jimmy‘s arrest for DUI. The six-time WWE Tag Team Champions were expected to return last night at WWE TLC but that didn’t happen.

Sportskeeda‘s Tom Colohue discussed The Usos’ current status to reveal that the twins enjoy a limited-term WWE contract that allows them to take a few extra dates off.

“The Usos are due back soon. They have a limited-term contract, whereby they only have to work so many dates, so you often get large patches that they and Naomi are missing in action. Last year it was just after WrestleMania, for example, we didn’t see them for a long time.”

Jimmy, Jey, and Naomi weren’t included in the draft pool during the 2019 WWE Draft. As a result, all three Superstars are currently listed as “free agents” which makes it interesting to see which brand they’ll jump to upon their return.

“While there are a lot of rumors that they are out for, let’s say personal issues, to my knowledge that’s not actually the case, it’s nearly the end of the year, similar to I think Daniel Bryan’s contract is, they have time off in their contracts, that they haven’t had much of it. So we are where we are.”

WWE’s build for Royal Rumble 2020 begins this week on RAW, and with just a month left for the first pay-per-view of the new year, it’s safe to expect The Usos returning to storylines over the next few weeks.

The Usos are expected back soon, at least around Rumble time, in the push towards WrestleMania where they will undoubtedly have a presence given their name factor alone.”

The Samoan Twins last wrestled on RAW before the draft, meaning there’s a strong chance for them switching over to SmackDown upon their imminent return.
