Just days before all attention turns to the NXT brand when they present their final pay-per-view of the year, entitled War Games, it has been revealed that one of the top stars in the company has tested positive for COVID-19.
Fightful Select has noted that the superstar in question “doesn’t necessarily have the concern attached to it that previous positive tests have had that led to an outbreak.”
The superstar who hasn’t been named reportedly hasn’t been around crowds of people and it’s unknown how this will affect War Games this weekend.
There are several top stars who are not part of the show since NXT rotates the superstars who are used at their pay-per-views and there are many who are sitting out of War Games.
WWE has come under scrutiny in recent weeks regarding their handling of the pandemic since the company has opened the doors to their training facility and this isn’t the first time a star has tested positive.
Ahead of NXT: Halloween Havoc back in October, it was revealed that there had been an outbreak at the Performance Center and it was begun by a coach.
Luckily there was only Indie Hartwell who was forced to self isolate and miss the show since many of the bigger NXT stars were not training at the venue at that time.
