Update On Cesaro’s WWE Future Following Show Stealing Match In Saudi Arabia

Cesaro has been someone that WWE can depend on to put on a great show for a number of years now. He was called upon to deliver at NXT Takeover: Cardiff earlier in the year and last night in Saudi Arabia he managed to steal the show in his match against hometown star Mansoor who was making his WWE debut.

Cesaro may always pull it out of the bag when WWE needs him to, but it appears that despite him being one of the company’s most reliable stars, he isn’t going to be someone that Vince McMahon backs to be at the top of the food chain.

The Wrestling Observer recently noted that despite his recent show-stealing performances, Cesaro isn’t someone that The Chairman wants to push.

“I mean, obviously everybody respects him. I think as far as do they see him as a guy who is going to be one of their top guys? I mean look, he has been there forever, he has been great forever. So the answer is no. They don’t. You know, that’s Vince. He’s always been like that.”

“He doesn’t see something in you and that’s it…Cesaro is one of those guys where there were periods where you know you get that groundswell support and then you know when people keep pushing for you and he had that Cesaro Section period, and after a while, whether it’s Cesaro or Dolph Ziggler, they get tired of pushing you when you are not getting pushed, and you just kind of throw up your hands and give up,” he said via Sportskeeda.

Cesaro has the backing of the WWE Universe despite what WWE decides to do with him, but it appears that he doesn’t have the backing of the man that matters.

It was rumored that the issue was the fact that Cesaro had issues delivering promos, but McMahon has still pushed the likes of Brock Lesnar and Asuka in recent years, who instead have advocates to deliver these promos for them.
