This past Monday, local advertisements in Philadelphia have apparently spoiled the main event of the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber PPV – Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, Baron Corbin, and Robert Roode will be battling it out inside the cage to earn a shot at “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt‘s Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36.

Post Wrestling is reporting that the six advertised Superstars are merely placeholders and WWE could potentially make changes in regards to the final lineup.

“A local advertisement is saying Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, Baron Corbin, and Robert Roode are set for the Elimination Chamber match next month. Post Wrestling notes those names are likely just placeholders and there will probably be changes to the lineup before the show.”

While Roman Reigns is almost certain to be part of the match as well as the favorite to challenge The Fiend at WrestleMania, it would be interesting to see whether the masked monster can retain his title against Goldberg at Super ShowDown later this month.

This week on Monday Night RAW, Shayna Baszler unleashed a brutal assault on Becky Lynch, biting a piece of The Man’s neck out in the process. The segment received mixed reactions from the WWE Universe and many fans lashed out at the bloody, vampirish act.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Paul Heyman was the man behind the segment and his love for Freddie Blassie had brought all the blood and biting to the ring.

“This has to be [Paul] Heyman because one of the guys who Heyman idolized was Freddie Blassie. This was 1970s Freddie Blassie with the biting and the blood and all of that.”

“I don’t ever wanna hear Vince McMahon talk about blood & guts. You know, Vince can be the biggest hypocrite in the world and that angle certainly showed him to be that… It was a great angle, don’t get me wrong, but you can’t be doing angles like this and then playing puritan.”
