Sasha Banks left Hell In A Cell with a defeat at the hands of RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch along with an injury that has sidelined her for the time being.
PWInsider is reporting that Banks had suffered a back injury during her title match this past Sunday. The severity of her injury is still unknown.
“Sasha Banks has been pulled from in-ring action following the WWE Hell In A Cell PPV.”
“The word making the rounds is she suffered a back injury in her match with Becky Lynch.”
“There is no word yet on the severity of the issue.”
The Boss didn’t appear on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, and the WWE Universe is waiting for her to return once again. Hopefully, Banks’ injury isn’t serious and she’ll be able to compete at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Cain Velasquez could be undergoing a much required knee surgery in the near future and that might put his status for WrestleMania 36 up in the air.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Velasquez‘s status for next year’s Showcase Of Immortals. It all depends on the kind of surgery the 2-time UFC Heavyweight Champion opts for.
“They could do Cain [at WrestleMania vs Brock Lesnar] you know do a one and one, Cain gets the surgery and comes back, but if Cain gets the surgery I’m not sure he’s back — if he gets full reconstructive surgery on that knee… let’s say he gets it in November, he’s missing Mania for sure, not even a chance. Maybe he can get minor surgery and be back… maybe.”
Cain made his WWE debut by taking down newly crowned WWE Champion Brock Lesnar on the FOX premiere of Friday Night SmackDown. The bald-headed athlete wore a big knee brace and had difficulty with his stepping.
