This past week at NXT The Great American Bash, Adam Cole lost the NXT Title to the North American Champion Keith Lee in a Winner Takes All showdown. The historic victory cemented Blackzilla’s legacy as the first-ever Double Champion of the black-and-gold brand.
Following his major loss, Cole was rumored to be headed to the WWE main roster. Karrion Kross is apparently moving in as Lee’s first challenger, which leaves The Panama City Playboy completely directionless.
Now, a latest report in the IWC suggests that The Undisputed Era were “offered a spot” on the WWE main roster. Quite interestingly, the report isn’t true.
According to RingsideNews, a source in WWE labeled the said report as “fake news” and noted that no NXT talent gets “offered a spot” on the main roster.
It was further clarified that no Superstar is “offered a place” on RAW and SmackDown. Talents are given an assignment which they have to carry out no matter the brand.
In 2019, all four members of The Undisputed Era signed multi-year deals with WWE. In the last few years, the heel faction has done a ton of work for the black-and-gold brand and they’re yet to do a lot more for WWE.
The latest rumors suggest that Cole’s NXT Title loss could lead to The Undisputed Era turning face in the coming weeks. Just the very rumor opens up a bunch of possibilities for Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong on NXT!
Ever since the inception of the stable, the WWE Universe has yearned to see the four workhorses having a babyface run on NXT. While there’s no guarantee that Cole would become a 2-time NXT Champion, it’s likely that he would be walking in as a babyface challenger the next time he’s included in the title picture.
