Just days after losing the NXT Title to Karrion Kross at TakeOver: XXX, Keith Lee made his grand main roster debut last night on RAW.
It didn’t take long for Blackzilla to step into the spotlight – the former NXT Champion wrestled Randy Orton in a match that ended in a disqualification on part of WWE Champion Drew McIntyre who attacked The Legend Killer to exact revenge.
The interference on part of the Sexy Scotsman and his subsequent injury at the hands of The Viper set up a singles match between Lee and Orton for Payback this Sunday.
Now, according to backstage reports, Vince McMahon could potentially turn Lee heel somewhere down the line.
The Chairman of Board was extremely impressed by Lee’s groundbreaking performance against Roman Reigns in the Triple Threat Elimination Match at Survivor Series last year. That performance also earned The Game Changer a spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble match where he was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.
Lee’s RAW debut, however, wasn’t confirmed until SummerSlam. Lee’s reported heel turn would see him lock horns with a ‘top babyface’ on the red brand.
The fact that WWE changed Lee’s entrance theme and gear for his RAW debut could essentially indicate a heel turn (or character change) for Blackzilla sooner than later.
