Vince McMahon Has Reportedly “Gained Respect” for Sasha Banks In Recent Months

Sasha Banks was unsuccessful in her quest to become Raw Women’s Champion this past weekend at Hell in a Cell. Banks stepped inside the structure for a second time, but for the first time as a challenger but still left empty-handed since she was forced to tap by “The Man” Becky Lynch.

Reports following Hell in a Cell on Sunday Night suggested that Sasha Banks had suffered a back injury in her match in Sacramento, California, the same injury that she suffered when she lost her first Hell in a Cell match to Charlotte Flair back in 2015.

Reports also stated that Banks’ future is currently uncertain due to the injury, which is why Lynch has now stepped into a feud with Asuka.

Even though Sasha Banks was missing from WWE for four months following her loss at WrestleMania and before she returned the night after SummerSlam and picked a fight with Natalya before she was then attacked by Becky Lynch, it appears that the former Women’s Champion has gained the respect of at least one big-name backstage.

According to a report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Banks is “in the favor of Vince McMahon” which means that even though she lost her match at Hell in a Cell, expect her to be the subject of a huge push when she makes her return.

Recent reports have suggested that Charlotte Flair could be the one to run the Women’s Division on SmackDown Live now that the company has moved over to Fox, but Banks could be one of the women moved over to The Blue Brand to feud with Flair as soon as she is able to make her return to the ring.

The WWE Draft on Friday night could hold many of the answers to Banks’ future, but it’s interesting to note that The Boss has the backing of the real boss.
