Vince McMahon Reportedly Has Big Plans for Keith Lee

Keith Lee picked up a humongous victory at WWE Payback when he pinned 13-time World Champion Randy Orton in his very second match on the main roster and the first on PPV.

The former NXT and North American Champion received an instant push from Vince McMahon which is not usually the case with a lot of NXT call-ups in recent times.

Alex McCarthy of talkSport discussed Lee’s big win over the Viper and added that Vince McMahon wants to push the Limitless One to the moon. The Limitless One is apparently the Chosen One in the eyes of McMahon, and it won’t be surprising to see him capture a title soon.

“Imagine how high Vince has to be on someone to have Randy Orton put them over clean as a whistle. Orton, doing the best work of his career, wants to help create that next generation of stars. He gets it.”

Keith Lee debuted on RAW last week, when he confronted Randy Orton, leading to a match between the two on RAW. The match was interrupted by Drew McIntyre’s attack on Orton.

Lee’s debut made the wrong headlines, as several fans were frustrated with his new in-ring gear and theme music, which led many to speculate whether Lee will be handled well on the red brand.

It is rumored that WWE will be crowning a No.1 contender for McIntyre’s WWE Championship this week on RAW, and Lee’s win at Payback makes him an easy pick. However, WWE won’t go the face vs face route, so a triple threat involving Randy Orton could be on the cards for Clash of Champions next month.
