WWE SmackDown superstar Lars Sullivan returned to WWE after a long period of injury, during this year’s WWE Draft.
It had been initially reported that Sullivan was set for a push upon his return as Vince McMahon himself was enthusiastic about him, however, after a strong return, nothing really seems to be happening with Sullivan.
He was not involved in Survivor Series and, aside from a few “sit-down interview” vignettes, has not been doing much.
According to RingsideNews, the reason for Sullivan’s gradual disappearance from TV is because there is currently “nothing going on” with him.
A tenured member of the creative team told RingsideNews that there was no real reason for Sullivan’s aborted push, it was just “typical falling through the cracks”.
Reportedly, McMahon is no longer interested in using Sullivan and is “not even asking for him”.
Because of the number of superstars on the WWE roster, reports of creative “not having anything” for talents, or McMahon “forgetting about them” are unfortunately common.
Just a couple of months ago, Peyton Royce and Bianca Belair were allegedly “forgotten” after Royce was made a singles wrestler and Belair called up because they were “set for a push”.
