WWE Currently Not Expected to Include NXT Superstars in Royal Rumble

In recent years, several NXT Superstars have been part of the Royal Rumble matches before they were able to make their way up to the main roster.

Stars including Adam Cole, Kacy Catanzaro, Candice LeRae, and even Dakota Kai have remained in NXT despite already making appearances in their respective Rumble matches.

It has become a tradition for NXT stars to be part of the annual Royal Rumble, but according to a report by Ringsidenews, the black and gold brand will not be featured as part of this year’s pay-per-view.

WWE made a point of not including NXT in Survivor Series back in November since the company is now looking to keep the brand separate and this could just be another continuation of the rule.

This doesn’t prevent the likes of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest from being part of the show if they are already being promoted to the main roster.

With 60 places to fill and neither match even close to the halfway line, WWE could be forced to rely on some returning legends once again this year.

That being said, there are several returning stars including Edge, Seth Rollins, and even Eva Marie who could be surprise entrants to make up the numbers.
