WWE Employees Reportedly Upset Over News That Promotions, Raises, and Bonuses “Will Not Be Provided”

WWE employees were reportedly quite upset after a meeting that was held on Friday.

According to Fightful Select, in a major meeting, WWE employees were told that they would not be provided with promotions, bonuses, or even raises for “the coming future.”

According to their sources, the news has heavily affected morale among employees who were present and will be affected by the announcement.

The employees who were at the meeting were primarily staff from the WWE offices and production. No on-screen talent or wrestlers were present.

While there has been no announcement as to how or why WWE has come to this decision regarding promotions, bonuses, and raises, many feel that it is completely unnecessary as the company’s recent financial results have been positive.

At the start of February, WWE announced that their revenue for 2020 was $974.2 million.

There’s also the expected income from WWE’s new partnership with the Peacock Service which is said to be worth about $1 billion over the next five years.

Given this apparent financial health, it’s unclear why WWE would feel the need to impose such cost-cutting measures on their employees.
