WWE is now on the road to SummerSlam, with only Stomping Grounds and Extreme Rules yet to take place before The Biggest Party of the Summer, the card is starting to take shape.

While the company has recently started announcing matches for Stomping Grounds next weekend, there have been a number of leaks that have confirmed much of the card for next month’s Extreme Rules event which is set to take place live from Philadelphia on July 14th.

As ever, the card was subject to change and given the recent events on WWE TV, The Wells Fargo Center has updated a few changes made to the card that was leaked, which includes the fact that Elias has been replaced by Drew McIntyre as Shane McMahon‘s partner in his match against Roman Reigns.

McIntyre was originally set to face AJ Styles as part of the show, but there hasn’t been an opponent announced for the former WWE Champion at present. The only other two matches that are known for the event are the WWE Championship match between Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, and Kevin Owens and the Universal Championship match between Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin.

With the upcoming matches at Stomping Grounds seeing Rollins defend his Universal Championship against Baron Corbin and Kofi Kingston set to step inside a steel cage against Dolph Ziggler, these matches don’t give away any spoilers.

Roman Reigns faces Drew McIntyre on June 23rd as well so this will be a continuation of their current storyline, since Elias has been relegated to a storyline that involves the 24/7 Championship over the past few weeks and even though he still has Shane McMahon’s backing he looks like he could be going off in his own direction.

Extreme Rules is over a month away and is WWE’s final stop on the road to SummerSlam, which means that more card changes are expected in the coming weeks.
