WrestleMania 36 will go down at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando on April 5th but the entire situation is still very fluid. WWE can change their plans at any moment amidst the coronavirus outbreak.



On <a href="http://f4wonline.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Wrestling Observer Radio (opens in a new tab)">Wrestling Observer Radio</a>, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE might not produce the full planned WrestleMania card since the show would be taking place in an empty arena.



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">“Pro wrestling is tough without fans and it loses a lot and they know that so that’s why we got what we got tonight which was a no wrestling RAW. Then for WrestleMania, that’s a wrestling heavy show. They had 16 matches lined up, I don’t know if they’ll do 16 matches at this point.”</blockquote>



The annual men’s and women’s battle royal matches most certainly won’t be happening due to the close contact between Superstars. Given WWE needs to keep the Performance Center’s capacity under 50 people, one would think the kind of arrangements and compromises the company must make in order to carry on with the show.

You know, they announced that, but one guy on that roster getting the virus or one major celebrity getting it in Florida or an outbreak in Florida and it’s not happening.”</blockquote>



It appears that previously advertised matches are still happening on April 5th, but the ones that WWE is currently crafting may have to wait. For what it’s worth, it all boils down to how long of an event WWE wants to produce in an empty arena.

Either else other than that’s been in announced is up in the air whether they’ll have the match because the card’s so long, it’s not just Raw. There are a lot of suggestions going around, but nothing is official. You’d think it would be official, but it’s not. They had a complete card, but now they don’t, but there ya go.”</blockquote>
