WWE Originally Planned Mixed Tag Team Match With Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne

Rousey hasn't been seen on WWE TV since her loss at WrestleMania 35

WWE has pushed Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch forward as a couple over the past few weeks, which in turn has allowed a team of Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin to form, which has spotlighted a number of mixed tag-teams in WWE.

Becky Lynch has become a huge star in WWE in recent months after she became the first woman to defeat Ronda Rousey in the ring at WrestleMania back in April.

Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since her loss at The Biggest Event of the Year, but according to Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer, there were plans for Rousey and her real-life husband Travis Browne to team together as a mixed tag team of their own.

“Travis Browne has trained at the Performance Center and I’m sure that they were thinking if she sticks around then we can do a mixed tag with her and her and Travis Browne against two heels. She didn’t stick around so there’s nothing going forward, but that was one of the ideas they had,” he said via Ringsidenews.

This is interesting to note since Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are still seen as a team on Monday Night Raw and there are rumors that Ronda Rousey could be making a return to the ring in the coming weeks since Paul Heyman has now taken control of Raw.

Travis Browne has featured on WWE TV throughout Rousey’s recent run within the company so it wouldn’t be much of a stretch for him to step in the ring alongside his wife. The fact that there is already a babyface Mixed Tag Team in WWE right now means that it would be easy to make that happen when Rousey makes her WWE return in the near future.
