WWE Reportedly Changed Plans For Rey Mysterio and Dominick This Week on Raw

Rey Mysterio has been feuding with The Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins ever since the former World Champion attempted to blind him on the steel steps a few weeks ago.

Mysterio has used the recent storyline to take some time away from the ring and help to train his son Dominick, who has recently been made part of the feud.

This week on Raw, Dominick, and Mysterio appeared from home to have a back and forth promo with Rollins as The Monday Night Messiah apologized to Mysterio ahead of what he was set to do to him and his family in the future.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, this wasn’t the original plan for the segment, instead, the plan was for the two stars to be part of the show in person.

Meltzer went on to reveal that Dominick and Mysterio were not told to stay at home because they tested positive for COVID-19 which is the same story for the likes of Randy Orton, Liv Morgan, and Austin Theory who were other notable absentees.

Although Natalya was sent home as a precaution since her husband and former WWE star Tyson Kidd had a fever when he arrived at the Performance Center for the tapings.
