WWE’s lease of The Amway Center expired on November 25th and the company was told that they needed to be out of the building by December 5th.
WWE has already announced that Tropicana Field will be the new home for the ThunderDome from December 10th, but the company is struggling when it comes to the set up at their new home.
The new ThunderDome will reportedly be much bigger since there is a much bigger open space.
While some reports suggested that WWE would have to record the upcoming main roster shows from the Capitol Wrestling Center which is the home of NXT and 205 Live, it appears that will no longer be the case.
According to Fightful, WWE has been handed an extension to remain inside the Amway Center until after their main roster shows are completed on December 7th.
This will then allow WWE to move over to Tropicana Fields following Monday Night’s episode of Raw and before SmackDown’s episode on December 10th.
This means that the company has plenty of time to finish setting up their new facilities and then has three days from Raw until SmackDown to prepare to move The ThunderDome to a new location.
