WWE Reportedly Negotiating Deals With Third-Party Applications for Their Superstars

Reports emerged of WWE banning its stars from using their in-ring names on third-party platforms such as Twitch and Cameo recently, which created a major buzz in the wrestling community with stars expressing their displeasure.

It seems like WWE is trying to get a share of the profits made by the stars on these apps, as they are in the process of negotiating deals with these companies for a possible branding deal, according to Wrestling Observer Radio.

The major target for the company is Cameo, but the superstars currently have their own accounts on the application, which is causing a hindrance in the deal.

Vince McMahon’s notice will force all the superstars from using their character names on these third-party platforms within 30 days.
